Welcome to the Greater Boston Life Sciences Corridor, home to the World’s Largest Cluster of Life Science and Biotech Companies, with more than 730 companies spanning five thriving communities all connected by the region's transit system. We warmly invite BIO 2018 guests from around the world to join us in exploring opportunities in life sciences and biotech across the Life Sciences Corridor and learn why this region is well positioned in offering a great location to live, work, and discover.
The Cambridge economy is anchored by preeminent research institutions such as MIT, Harvard, the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, the Broad Institute, and the Whitehead Institute, which serve as magnets for commercial investment in the city and provide the foundation for an entrepreneurial, innovation-driven economy. Broad Institute, a joint venture of MIT, Harvard University, and Harvard-affiliated hospitals, serves as a beacon to the international life sciences community. A stop at MIT’s Koch Institute will feature a panel with Nobel prize winner Dr. Phillip A. Sharp, a world leader in molecular biology and biochemistry; Dr. Angela Belcher, a leading biological engineer, and Dr. Anne Deconinck, executive director of the Koch Institute.
Tours will pick up and drop off at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Tour cost: $35.00.
Check-in opens at 9:00am in Room 210A. Tour attendees must pick up their BIO Convention Badge before seeking tour check-in. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your tour's scheduled depature. The cancellation date to receive a full refund of payment for tours is April 27. After this point, refunds will not be issued. All name changes or substitutions for tour attendees must be requested by May 18.
