Welcome to the Greater Boston Life Sciences Corridor, home to the World’s Largest Cluster of Life Science and Biotech Companies, with more than 730 companies spanning five thriving communities all connected by the region's transit system. We warmly invite BIO 2018 guests from around the world to join us in exploring opportunities in life sciences and biotech across the Life Sciences Corridor and learn why this region is well positioned in offering a great location to live, work, and discover.
Also known as the "Innovation District" or "Seaport District," this 1000-acre neighborhood of Boston has rapidly transformed from historic warehouses and industrial space into an innovation hub for the city. The South Boston Waterfront District offers a dynamic mix of opportunities and spaces, drawing on burgeoning technology, biotech, and design communities. At the heart of this area is District Hall, the world’s first civic innovation center.  This interdisciplinary community is home to autonomous vehicle testing, the new General Electric headquarters, and MassChallenge, the world’s most startup friendly accelerator. The neighborhood is also home to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Lurie Family Imaging Center and biotech leaders like Vertex and Ginko Bioworks. Join this tour to experience the creative and dynamic spirit of innovation and development across the South Boston Waterfront District, steps away from the 2018 BIO Convention!
